Cardax and PowerFence brands are well-known within the access control and perimeter security fencing industries however from April they will be replaced with the orange Gallagher brand.Established in 1936, over Gallagher Group is one of the largest and most successful private companies in New Zealand, employing 1000 staff globally.  Sir William Gallagher is Chair and Chief Executive of Gallagher Group, the highly successful exporter of animal management, access control and perimeter security systems.Sir William says the company’s acquisition of Gallagher Australia meets a key business objective to develop a unified global security company which delivers a single security platform to end users.   “The opportunity to align the existing access control sales team with the perimeter security unit supports the Gallagher vision and leverages our position as a worldwide leader in security platforms.  This is a natural progression of an existing partnership.”He says business will continue as usual for access control and perimeter security partners in Australia with the provision of an efficient service to Channel Partners and End Users.  Cardax General Manager Greg Phillips has been appointed general manager of Gallagher Security – Australia.  He will manage a team of fifteen technical account managers and business development managers supported by Craig Schutte as strategic business manager – Perimeter Systems.  Phillips says he will work with the combined team to review, and where appropriate, consolidate the Channel Partner structure to align operational activity with Gallagher Group policies.  “There are a number of initiatives developed within the access control business which over time will be introduced to perimeter Channel Partners to ensure our company provides benefits to those partners and a broader solution to End Users with seamless delivery,” says Phillips.
