According to Independent Locksmiths & Security’s Ryan McGovern, as part of the installation the company will deploy key authorisers in the field that are powered by solar panels and communicate with the Cyberkey’s main server using 3G modems.
The CyberKey is an electronic key that serves as an authorizing credential. A USB port provides a downloadable audit trail and the ability to update the device with new information. The rechargeable key can be programmed to work on any CyberKey equipped locksets.
