AUSTRALIA’S Department of Defence – DSRG is seeking electronic and cyber security solutions as part of an upgrade to the HMAS Waterhen naval base at Waverton on Sydney Harbour.
The security zone upgrades are designed to meet Defence Security Manual compliance works and include installation of secure electronic lockers and Defence Secret Network (DSN) Terminals at the naval base.
HMAS Waterhen is home to 6 Huon class Mine Hunter Coastal Vessels, HMA Ships Diamantina, Huon, Hawkesbury, Norman, Gascoyne and Yarra. HMAS Waterhen is also the home to a flotilla of support craft including diving tender (DTV) Seal, Torpedo recovery vessel (TRV) Trevally, and Mine Sweeper Auxiliaries (MSA) Bandicoot and Wallaroo.
Last year, QinetiQ Australia was awarded a $A9.25 million contract to provide engineering and logistics at HMAS Waterhen.
The security tender closes on August 10, 2018.
