Sydney-based ECS Services has won a tender worth around $250k to upgrade CCTV at Gosford City Car Park on the Central Coast.

ECS is the incumbent CCTV integrator, having recently upgraded the city’s video surveillance solution with a combination of around 110 Pelco fixed and PTZ cameras supported by Pelco’s VideoXpert VMS and monitored by police officers at Gosford Police Station.

ECS and manufacturer Pelco have been working with Central Coast Council to upgrade key remote locations of the existing solution for a number of years, delivering council the operational benefits of the latest cameras and management solutions, while taking advantage of improved infrastructure. The upgrade at Gosford City Carpark is part of this over-arching process.

“Video feeds from…around the council area arrive back at Gosford Police Station on a combination of fibre and point-to-point wireless feeds,” said Sergeant Steve Hassett recently. “Officers can follow events, record, and inform patrol officers if there are any issues. The system also has a significant role to play with investigations.”
