Energy Queensland Seeks Enterprise PSIM
Energy Queensland is seeking integration of a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software solution to provide a single, integrated presentation layer across its current security sub-systems and devices.
As well as sub system integration, the organisation is seeking reporting tools, workflow automation and analytics to digitally transform the security monitoring environment and provide a more efficient security monitoring operation.
Energy Queensland is a Queensland government-owned unlisted public company that derives its primary revenue from the distribution of electricity within Queensland, and the design, construction and maintenance of the Queensland electricity Distribution Networks. Energy Queensland employees 7040 people and is administered from its head office in Townsville, Queensland.
Energy Queensland provides electricity supply and connection services to 2.25 million customers across Queensland and sells electricity to 738,000 retail customers. Subsidiaries include Ergon Energy, which manages an electricity distribution network across regional Queensland, and owns and operates 33 stand-alone power stations, supplying electricity to isolated communities. Meanwhile, Energex manages an electricity distribution network in South-East Queensland and distributes electricity to residential and business customers.
