School Alarm Installation, Maintenance & Advisory
Victoria’s Department of Education & Training (DET) will establish a panel of contracted suppliers to provide alarm installation, maintenance and advisory services to schools across Victoria. Contractors who wish to be evaluated for inclusion on the panel are invited to respond to this invitation here.
DET, through the Security and Emergency Management Division (SEMD), provides a centrally funded intruder prevention program on behalf of Victorian government schools in order to mitigate risk to school staff and assets from unauthorised intruders.
This program includes both an alarm response service, and a school alarm installation, testing and maintenance service, which at times, may include the installation of CCTV or access control at schools. This procurement relates to security equipment installation and maintenance services.
A briefing session will be held at 2 Treasury Place, East Melbourne on 20 January 2020 at 9.30 am. This briefing is optional but DET said it was highly advisable to attend this session.
